Simon Thern
Simon Thern ( born September 18, 1992 Värnamo ) is a Swedish football player. The midfielder, who made his debut in the Swedish national team in 2012, won in 2011 with the Double Helsingborgs IF and Malmö FF in 2013 with the title. He is the son of former international Jonas Thern.
Career
Thern began playing football at IFK Värnamo. For the club he made his debut during the third league season 2008 in Division 1 in adult football and established himself in the episode in the squad of the competition team. So he made the one hand those responsible for the Svenska Fotbollförbundet which appointed him in 2009 in the U- 17 team, and on the other hand higher class attention.
In March 2010, Thern signed a valid contract at the end of 2013 first division club Helsingborgs IF, which, however, gave it back directly to the further development of the cooperation partner IFK Värnamo. With his father as coach the team rose to the second-class Superettan at the end of the third division season 2010. To Premiership season 2011 he came to Helsingborgs IF. On the side of Erik Sundin, May Mahlangu and Mattias Lindström he made his debut in April in the Allsvenskan and won in the course of the season a regular place. Also in the squad coached by Håkan Ericson Swedish U- 21 team, he played to a 3-0 win over the Dutch U- 21 team in August of that year he made his debut as a substitute for the two -goal John Guidetti. In total he played until the end of the season 23 league games, scoring two goals. Thus he was instrumental in the profits of the Lennart Johansson - Cup for the Swedish national champion. One week after the end of the season, the club met in the final of the Svenska Cupen on Kalmar FF. In the 3-1 win Thern was only a substitute, coach Conny Karlsson Reserve left him without bet.
Shortly before Christmas 2011 announced the league and regional rival Malmö FF Therns the obligation as of January 2012, the signed contract is valid until the end of 2014. A few days later, coach Erik Hamrén appointed him together with the also Malmö FF newly obligated Erik Friberg as a replacement for the failed Ivo Pękalski and Mathias Ranégie in the squad of the national team for a tour to Asia in January. In the 5-0 win over the national team of Qatar on 23 January 2012, he made his debut as a substitute for Viktor Claesson from 63 minutes and scored the goal for interim 4-0 lead. In the following season he was a regular player for long stretches in the middle of Malmo FF and won with the club in the season 2013 the Swedish championship title to which he had contributed with four goals this season.
