Simon Yates (cyclist)

Simon Yates ( born August 7, 1992) is a British racing driver, who is active on rail and road.

In 2010, Simon Yates in Velodromo Fassa Bortolo in Italy Montichiari with Daniel McLay Junior World Champion in a two - team driving; in the team pursuit, he won jointly with McLay, Sam Harrison and Owain Doull the silver medal. In the course of the UCI Track Cycling World Cup 2010/2011 in Beijing, he finished in January 2011 the third place in the Team Pursuit ( with Mark Christian, Erick Rowsell and Andrew Fenn ). In the same year he finished ninth overall in the International Thüringen Tour in the U23 and won a stage of the Tour de l' Avenir.

2013 was world champion in the points race Simon Yates in Minsk. On the road, he won both two stages of the Tour de l' Avenir and a stage of the Tour of Britain in the same year.

Also, the twin brother of Yates, Adam, is racing cyclist.
