Simone Barone
Simone Barone ( born April 30, 1978 in Nocera Inferiore ) is an Italian football player, he plays at the position of midfielder.
Barone was part of the champion squad of Italy's national soccer team at the World Cup 2006 in Germany.
Career
In the club
Simone Barone began his career at AC Parma, since he hardly used but here he moved to the 1998/99 season on loan at Padova Calcio in Serie C1. Here he was able to earn a regular place to bat. In the following season Barone was awarded to Alzano Virescit in the B series. After again just one year in Alzano Lombardo signed him the League rival Chievo Verona. In his first season Simone Barone made the jump into the core team, and at the end of the season the Veronese rose the first time in the series A. Here Chievo could claim as a result also. For the 2002/03 season Barone moved back to his hometown club FC Parma. Here he was a regular in the sequel to use and was able to convince with his performances. This allowed him to jump into the Italian national team. For the season 2004 /05, U.S. Palermo secured the services of the national player. After two years in the starting eleven of the Rosaneri, Simone Barone moved to the 2006 World Cup to his present club, FC Turin. As Turin in 2009 descended again from Serie A, Barone left the club and joined Cagliari Calcio .. This season he was sixteen times used his contract was terminated at the end of the season. In the contract -free time he trained regularly at Crociati Noceto. After a trial with the AS Livorno Calcio, he was there engaged for the season 2011 /12. Since his contract was not renewed in the summer of 2012, he is without a club.
In the National Team
Simone Barone came on 18 February 2004 in a 2-2 draw against the Czech Republic under Giovanni Trapattoni for the first time in the Italian national team for use. In the following two years he played regularly. For the Soccer World Cup 2006 in Germany Barone was appointed by Marcello Lippi in the Italian World Cup squad and used twice. He was then only once appointed to the Squadra Azzurra. The World Champion title in 2006 is his biggest sporting success.
