Sîn-lēqi-unninni

Sîn - leqe - unnīnī (also Sin - liqi - unnini ), an oracle priest ( mašmaššu ), younger Babylonian tradition, according to the author was the Epic of Gilgamesh. He is said to have compiled around the year 1200 BC on the basis of older, even Sumerian originals, the epic on twelve clay tablets. As its name is already occupied by the middle of the 2nd millennium, however, he could have lived earlier. It probably dates back to Uruk.
