Singelloop Utrecht

The Singelloop Utrecht is a folk and road race over 10 km in Utrecht. He was discharged in 1925 for the first time and took place in 2010 for the 60th time. Thus, he is the oldest road race in the Netherlands. Promoted by the Athletic Sports Exhibition Company ( ASEC ).

Route

The start and finish are located near the Maliesingel and Lepelenburg Park. From there it goes clockwise around the city center of Utrecht to the city canals ( " singels " ) along and through the Wilhelminapark.

History

The most successful athlete in the early years was Jan Zeegers, who won four times. Only Klaas Lok able to triumph with five wins more often. Leonard Patrick Komon 2010 presented with 26:44 minutes to set a world record in the 10 - km road race.
