Single-level pylon

The collinear array is an array of all conductors at high voltage pylons in a plane. The collinear arrangement leads to a low overall height of the masts, associated with a large line width. It is then used for overhead lines for high voltage direct current transmissions and traction current lines almost always and for three-phase high voltage transmission ( Dhu ) when the booms must not be too high. The disadvantage of this arrangement is a lower cover by the lightning protection cable.

From a one-plane poles is when the pylon carries only one or two systems in a level arrangement. There are also tons masts with a level arrangement, they carry up to 6 systems.
