Singulus Technologies AG is a company listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange German engineering company with headquarters in Kahl am Main.

Are manufactured production equipment for optical media (CD and DVD ), vacuum thin film technology, classical semiconductor technology, for the production of solar panels, magnetic memory, MRAM, wafer production, micro - electromechanical systems (MEMS ), telecommunications electronics, chip packaging, technical and decorative optical coatings.

History

Singulus Technologies GmbH was founded in 1995 by a management buy -out from Leybold AG. In August 1997 the company was transformed into a corporation. 2005 acquired a majority stake in rival Singulus STEAG HamaTech AG. In January 2008 Singulus took over the Blu- ray Disc systems business of Oerlikon Balzers AG.
