Siniscola

Siniscola ( Sardinian: Thiniscòle ) is a town with 11,424 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2012) on the east coast in the province of Nuoro (NU) in the Italian region Sardinia and part of the historical region Barony. It is located about 160 km northeast of Cagliari and about 45 km northeast of Nuoro.

Siniscola covers an area of ​​199.96 km ².

Siniscola borders the following municipalities: Irgoli, Lodè Lula, Onifai, Orosei, Posada and Torpé.

The municipality stretches from the beaches of La Caletta, Berchida and Capo Comino to Monte Albo with his state forest. On the hill you will find the oldest traces of man, and indeed in the caves Sa Preione e S'Orcu and Duas Vuccas. In the surrounding area there are numerous Nuraghe and Giants' Tombs ( Tombe dei Giganti ).
