Geography

Geographical Location

Sinntal is located on the northern edge of the Spessart and on the western slopes of the Rhön. The regional center of Fulda is located about 30 km north of Sinntal.

Neighboring communities

Sinntal bordered to the north by the municipality of Kalbach ( district Fulda), to the east by the municipality of moths, the unincorporated area Mottener forest south and the town of Bad Brückenau, the market Zeitlofs and the unincorporated area Roßbacher forest (all the district of Bad Kissingen ), in south to the market. Obersinn ( district of Main -Spessart ) and in the west to the unincorporated area Gutsbezirk Spessart and the city Schlüchtern

History

On 1 July 1972, the church was re- Sinntal formed by the merger of the previously independent municipalities Mottgers, Blackrock and Weichersbach. On July 1, 1974 Altengronau came ( with the eingemeindeten on December 1, 1969 Location Neuengronau ), Jossa, upper cell and Sterbfritz ( with several incorporated on December 1, 1969 places Breuning, Sannerz and Weiperz ) added.
