Sino-Japanese Friendship and Trade Treaty

The Chinese- Japanese Friendship and Trade Treaty (Chinese中 日 修好 条规/中 日 修好 条规, Pinyin Zhōngrì xiūhǎo tiáoguī, jap日 清 修好 条规, Nisshin Shuko Joki ) was on September 13, 1871 in Tientsin by Li Hongzhang and Date Munenari signed.

The agreement guaranteed the legal position of consuls, and wrote trade tariffs between the two signatory countries Japan and China firmly.

The contract was valid until the First Sino- Japanese War led which to renegotiation and finally to the Treaty of Shimonoseki.
