Sinraptor is a genus bipedal running ( bipeder ) dinosaur from the group of Carnosaurier.

There are two types: The type Sinraptor dongi was found in 1993 in the Shishugou - formation from the Upper Jurassic of China.

The only previous skeleton found missing large parts of the tail and arms, the rest is almost complete and well preserved. Sinraptor hepingensis described incorrectly in 1992 as Yangchuanosaurus hepingensis, dates from the Upper Jurassic of Shangshaximiao. Sinraptor is the genus Yangchuanosaurus very close, together they form the family Sinraptoridae.

Sinraptor dongi reached a body length of 7.2 meters, Sinraptor hepingensis was probably 8.5 meters long. The weight is specified for p dongi with about a ton, for Sinraptor hepingensis with 2.3 tons. The Body of Sinraptor resembled the related Allosaurus: He had three fingers on each hand and four toes including the small, not coming into contact with the ground hallux. His cock was stiff and probably served to hold the balance. From the construction of its teeth suggests that he was carnivorous.
