Sint -Martens- Latem - Deurle is a double municipality with 8378 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2012) in the Belgian province of East Flanders.

The community has the nickname " Artist's Village " and is the cradle of Flemish expressionism. The houses and villas in the suburb of Ghent are surrounded by sparse forests.

After the village of the famous Latemer school was named. The embossed by river, forest and woodland landscape inspired the artist. Numerous painters, sculptors, writers, poets, musicians have settled on the banks of the river Lys. Several museums ( including the Museum Dhondt Dhaenens ) and galleries attract numerous visitors.
