Sinuosity

The sinuosity (from Latin sine, bay ',' bay ' ) is a term that is used in geomorphology as a simple measure of the intensity of the meandering of a river. It is calculated as the ratio of the length of a section of the river and the linear distance between the start and end point of this section of the river.
