Sinus Successus

Sine Successus - Latin for bay of success - is an extension of Mare Fecunditatis on the Earth's moon. The appointment was made by the International Astronomical Union in 1979.

The dark gray basalt surface of the solidified lava lake has an average diameter of 130 kilometers. The bay is located on the equator in the eastern erdzugewandten side of the moon, on the northeast edge of the Mare Fecunditatis in the selenographic coordinates 1 ° North and 59 ° East.
