The Hartheu clamps ( Siona lineata ) is a butterfly (moth ) from the family of the tensioner ( Geometridae ).

Features

The Hartheu clamps reached a size of about 35 to 45 millimeters. The species is diurnal and relatively large for a representative of the family of clamp, whereby it can be kept at a cursory level for a white butterfly. A strong differentiating factor are the thread-like sensor of Hartheu - tensioner, while the latter are designed club-shaped with butterflies. Even in flight behavior, it differs from the white bodies. The animals rest in the lower vegetation and fly only a few meters when they are startled. From similar tensioners, it differs by a contrasting dark veining of the wings.

Flight Times

The Hartheu clamps flies in a brood from May to July.

Occurrence

The Hartheu - tensioner is to be found on nutrient-poor grassland with dry areas.
