SIPOC is a Six Sigma tool for the Define phase, which is used in lean management.
The acronym SIPOC stands for the column name of the SIPOC diagram.
Purpose
A SIPOC diagram visualizes the snapshot of a process.
SIPOC can be used to detect an overall process at the beginning of an improvement action or improvement project. In addition, SIPOC can also be used to clear delineation of processes in process chains. The output of a process is in this case to the input of another process.
Some authors recommend filling the table from right to left to a customer-oriented view to support. In a brainstorming session, the content is often collected without this restriction.
