Sira, Norway

Sira or Åna - Sira is a place ( Tettstad ) in Norway on the eponymous river and belongs to the municipality Flekkefjord in the province of Vest- Agder.

Sira is the near the European route E39 Flekkefjord Moi. East of Moi leads the way on historical Tronåsen over the bridge built in 1844 Bakke bro in the place. In Sira live about 790 inhabitants. In addition to a primary school, there is a station on the Sørlandsbane that leads from Oslo to Stavanger. The disused Flekkefjordbane can be traveled by railroad handcar. In the village is a further built in 1670 Cross wooden church, the Bakke Kirke and built in 1888 Åna - Sira Kirke, worth seeing.
