Sirente-Velino Regional Park

The Regional Park Sirente - Velino is in the Italian region of Abruzzo, in the region of L' Aquila.

The park was established in 1989 and offers visitors a beautiful nature on an area of ​​50,288 hectares.

The Nature Park is one of the most extensive and most important protected areas in Italy and is the only Regional Park of Abruzzo region. Nature offers an enchanting scenario of traditional villages in the midst of the most interesting flora and fauna of central Italy. Typical representatives of the fauna are the brown bear (Ursus arctos marsicanus ) and the wolf (Canis lupus italicus ).

Particularly interesting are the two mountain ranges SIRENTE and Monte Velino.
