Sissa

Sissa is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 4232 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Parma, in Emilia -Romagna. The municipality is situated approximately 14 kilometers north-northwest of Parma at the confluence of Torricella with the Po.

History

1195 transferred Henry VI. the Church of Parma jurisdiction over the municipalities of Sissa, Palasone and Coltaro, today all districts of the municipality Sissa.
