Sitara Achakzai

Sitara Atschiksai (also called Sitara Achakzai ) (* around 1957 in Afghanistan, † April 12, 2009 in Kandahar ) was a German - Afghan politician and women's rights activist.

Sitara Atschiksai, a trained teacher, lived since the early 1980s with her family in Germany. Achikzai was shot on April 12, 2009 by four men on motorcycles in front of her house. The radical Islamic Taliban pleaded against the news agency Agence France Presse ( AFP) to the murder of the politician.
