Sizdah be dar

Sizdah be represent in the Persian tradition the custom to leave his house to the public on the thirteenth ( Sizdah ) day of the month Farvardin (corresponding to April 2 ), the last day of Nowruz ( Persian New Year) to celebrate.

This is the last phase of the New Year celebration, which begins with the fire festival Chahar Schanbeh Suri. In today's time, people go to parks to picnic and to their Sabzeh - the seeds that they planted before the start of Norouz - to throw into a river, which is meant to symbolize the circle of life. Some people play other pranks and fibbing, similar to April Fools. Usually, even gold fish in rivers are released into the wild.
