SJ X12

The SJ X12 series is a standard- Swedish Elektrotriebzuggattung.

From the SJ Series X12 1991 a total of 18 units were built by Asea Brown Boveri to 1994. They are used in regional traffic. The vehicles are a further development of the electric drive train also operated in Sweden SJ X10. The trains will be used only within Sweden and 16.7 Hz AC rated for operation at 15 kV. The vehicles are equipped with seats first and second class and are used in SJ, SSRT and Västtrafik.
