SK Brann

Brann Bergen ( officially Sportsklubben Brann) is the biggest football club in the city of Bergen in Norway and Bergen only club in the top Norwegian league, Tippeligaen. The club was founded on 26 September 1908.

Brann play their home games in the 17,000 -seat Brann Stadium, which is currently being expanded to a capacity of about 21,000 spectators. In October 2005, the city and the club decided to build the last missing grandstand on the south side to demolish the former grandstand to the east and to build a cutting-edge new grandstand there. Construction began in December 2005. By the end of 2009, the old grandstand is now to be demolished ( in parts from 1919 ), and rebuilt.

In the seasons 1962, 1963 and 2007, the Norwegian championship was won, the Norwegian Cup was won a total of six times (1923, 1925, 1972, 1976, 1982 and 2004). One of the biggest international success reaching the quarter- finals part in the competition for the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1997. Larger international success remained the club so far failed. The colors of the club are red and white.
