SK Horácká Slavia Třebíč

The SK Slavia Horacka Třebíč is a Czech ice hockey club from Třebíč. Since 1997, the first team of the club on game operation of the sub-prime first league participates.

History

The club was founded on 15 December 1928 as Horacka Slavia, making it one of the oldest hockey clubs in the territory of the former Czechoslovakia. 1954 merged the club with DSK Třebíč Spartak Třebíč before from 1969 combines several of the region named after the club were. In 1957, the team won the league and qualify for the second part of this league in the following years. In 1969, the descent into the third league, which was held regionally. 1973, a new third division was created, the second Czech state league. At this, the club participated as DMF Třebíč or as a second team of Zetor Brno until the late 1970s. In the following years he took part only in the regional championship before 1984, back in the Bundesliga in the 2nd state league. In 1986, however, the re- descent into the regional championship. In the early 1990s took the club which in 1990 was returned to its original name, back in the third game and missed some class in 1995 and 1996 promotion to the 1st League. Only in 1997 the team achieved together with the HC Znojmo promotion to the second division in which these plays since then. Since then, could be achieved twice the second place in the league and once the playoff semifinals.
