SK Kladno

The SK Kladno is a Czech football club from the Central Bohemian city of Kladno. The association founded in 1903, was first class from 1925 to 1947, 1948/49, 1952-1958, 1960-1965 and 1969/70. 1976, the club reached the final of the Czech Cup and it lost to Sparta Prague 1:4. Succeeded in 2006 after 36 years of the return to the first league from which the team relegated again at the end of the season 2009/10.

Club history

The SK Kladno is one of the oldest sports and football clubs in the Czech Republic. Especially before the Second World War, but shortly thereafter he belonged to the top of the Czechoslovak football and presented numerous national player. In 1915, he lost the final of the Charity Cup Sparta Prague, 1919, he was in the championship of the Second CSF.

1934 and 1938 took the SK Kladno part in the Mitropa Cup. 1947 had Kladno leave the 1st League due to match-fixing, but returned a year later back again. 1949 was followed by a Table of relegation in 1952 succeeded the SK Kladno return.

From the descent 1970, the club did not recover properly and spent the next decade in the second league, which he had to leave in 1981 down. It was not until 1988/89 Kladno won the group the 3rd league and was at least second class again. 1992/93 the team was Table, by the division of Czechoslovakia but they remained in the second league of the newly formed Czech Republic. Without sponsors, the 3rd league could not be maintained, in 1997 the relegation followed in the 4th league, the club had reached the sporty low point. It was not until 2000 managed to rise again in the 3rd league, but there could only be kept for one season. Before the season 2003/ 04 merged the SK Kladno with the FK Neratovice, took over the second division license and had skipped so two leagues. Became President of the Socialist MEP Michal Kraus, through its relations to finance the association was much easier. Failed the Central Bohemia in the next two years, just under the promotion to the Gambrinus league so this was achieved in a sovereign manner in the season 2005/06.
