SK Trondheims-Ørn

Trondheim -Ørn SK is a Norwegian sports club. Sporty figurehead of the club is the women's football department, which is one of the strongest clubs in Europe. The club colors are yellow and blue.

History

The club was founded on 18 May 1917. Since 1972 there is a women's football department. In the eighties it reached several times the cup final, but lost each time. Only in the nineties, the successes to set. In 1993 they picked for the first time the Norwegian Cup, a year later they sought their first league title. Between 1994 and 1997, they picked four times in a row the championship. A similar series were abolished between 1996 and 1999 in the Cup competition.

Overall, the club seven league titles and eight cup victories won. Besides Kolbotn IL -Ørn Trondheim is one of the most successful clubs in Norwegian women's football.

At the UEFA Women 's Cup, the club took part twice so far. 2002 you failed in the quarterfinals at HJK Helsinki. Three years later, was eliminated by the eventual winner 1 FFC Turbine Potsdam in the semifinals.
