Skamp

SKAMP are a Lithuanian pop band, which was founded in 1998. The band in Lithuania with a cover version of the song " Summertime" by Ella Fitzgerald became famous.

The members Victor Diawara and Vilius Alesius met during their time at school in Germany on the Lithuanian school in Lampertheim (Hessen) know and therefore speak very good German. After high school she moved to Lithuania and learned there the singer Erica Jennings know. While Victor Diawara was born in Mali, the son of a Lithuanian and a Malian, Vilius Alesius is already born in Lithuania.

Euro vision

SKAMP represented Lithuania at Euro Vision Song Contest 2001 in Copenhagen ( Denmark). They were only the third Lithuanian representative in the contest. With her song You Got Style SKAMP reached with 35 points to 13th place, what is the best result ever achieved in Lithuania until 2006.
