Skapce

Skapce ( German Kapsch ) is a municipality with 164 inhabitants ( 1 January 2004) in the Czech Republic. It is located 11 km south of Stříbro at an altitude of 496 m asl and belongs to the Okres Tachov.

History

The first mention of the village dates from the year 1115. Until 1848 it was part of the monastic property Kladruby The Trinity Church in Kapsch was the parish church for the surrounding villages. 1939 lived in Kapsch including the local part Salesl 364 people.

To January 1, 1980 Skapce was incorporated into Kladruby u Stříbra. Since November 24, 1990 there is a separate municipality again.
