Skinfaxi and Hrímfaxi

Hrimfaxi ( Old Norse for " Rußpferd " or "the Reifmähnige "), even Hrimfaxi is, in Norse mythology, the horse that pulls the night across the sky. Elsewhere it is said that the Nott, which is the personification of night, riding on the horse or the horse pull her car. The foam (or saliva) Hrímfaxis, which falls in the morning on the earth, is the dew of the valleys. Following that pulls the horse Skinfaxi that belongs to Notts son Dagr, the day across the sky.
