Skippy (dog)

Skippy ( Asta later ) was a Wire Fox Terrier and animal actor, who appeared in the 1930s in numerous films. The dog has been announced in the course of his career, both as Skippy as well as Asta.

Life

The Wire Fox Terrier Skippy was born probably at the beginning of the 1930s. He was trained by the former actress Gale Henry. Direct his first film The Thin Man, in which he played the 1934 dog Asta by William Powell as a private detective Nick Charles, was a great success.
