Å koda 109E

Škoda 109E ( Emil Zatopek and locomotive ) refers to a multi-system locomotive class by Czech manufacturer Škoda.

ČD series 380

First purchaser of the series was the České Dráhy that leads them as series 380. Between 2010 and 2011 Škoda delivered 20 machines that have been used since December 2010 of the Czech railway in long-distance transport. Originally this an insert between Berlin, Prague and Vienna was provided.

ZSSK series 381

Two other locomotives of this series ordered ZSSK. After test driving this out as the class 381 locomotives from December 2011 are used in the Slovak railways since February 2012.

German railway

After winning the tender Ringzug West / NBE ordered DB Regio Upper Bavaria Škoda for use in München- Nürnberg- Express 6 locomotives Škoda 109E for use from December 2016. These are Škoda double-deck push-pull trains with 6 cars fast regional traffic contest with a top speed of 200 km / h on the high-speed line Nuremberg -Ingolstadt- Munich. DB Regio Upper Bavaria demanded only need one license for 190 km / h The order for the 6 train sets has a value of 100 million euros.
