Sköll

Skalli (also Skoll, Sköll, Skjöll ) is a wolf in Norse mythology that tracks the sun.

It comes after the Edda of Fenrir from ( the Fenris Wolf ) and a designated " the iron forest Old " as a giantess. His twin brother Hati pursues the moon.

The origin of the name Skalli is given in the literature as " shadow ", " Forward ", " scoffer " or " illusion ".

Skalli chasing the sun chariot of the sun goddess Sol across the sky and thus drives the sun to hurry. During a solar eclipse the sun he comes dangerously close. On the day of world destruction ( Ragnarök ), the wolves will catch the hunted and devour.
