Skonto Hall

BK Skonto Riga (since 2006)

The discount hall ( Latvian discount hall, also Skonto Arena ) is a sports hall in the capital of Latvia, Riga. The center is primarily used for ice hockey and basketball.

The hall was originally built in 1996 and offers 6,500 spectators. At the Ice Hockey World Cup 2006, which took place in Latvia, the hall was completely renovated and finally reopened in 2006. The stands are made since each one rank, with the main grandstand is an exception, as it houses the reporter places and lodges.

After the World Cup, the arena was the home of the Riga basketball club BK Skonto Riga, next to it is also used as a conference and convention center. In addition to sporting events, 2003, the Euro Vision Song Contest was held in the arena. 2013, it was with Skonto Stadium for sale.
