The Sko languages belong to non- related to each other Papuan languages. The term Papuan language refers to all non- Austronesian and non-Australian languages of the Pacific region.
They are mainly (formerly West Sepik ) spoken in the coastal region of the province Sandaun in northwestern Papua New Guinea. Sko has two subgroups: Vanimo and Krisa.
