Sky Express (Greece)

Sky Express S. A. is a Greek regional airline based on the Heraklion, Crete Airport.

History

It was founded in 2005 by Miltiadis Tsagarakis, a former Olympic Airways pilots. Tsagarakis was CEO of Olympic Airways and was, among other things Advisor to the management of the airline. He was captain and pilot of the plane of the Greek Prime Minister.

The fleet of Sky Express originally only consisted of a BAe Jetstream 3102 with the serial number 829 and registration SX -SKY, later came another added with the serial number 947 and registration SX -IDI. This was followed by two McDonnell Douglas MD -83 and two other BAe Jetstream 41 is used with the serial numbers 41075 and 41076th The MD -83 are usually for the summer charter operation.
