Slagelse Municipality
Slagelse Kommune is a Danish municipality on the island of Zealand. It was created on 1 January 2007 as part of local government reform by combining the "old" Slagelse municipality with the former municipalities Hashøj, Korsør and Skaelskoer.
Slagelse municipality has a total population of 77 167 inhabitants ( 1 January 2013) and an area of 568.00 km ². It is part of Sjælland region. The seat of government is in Slagelse.
