Slang is the title of the published 1996 sixth studio album by the English hard rock band Def Leppard. It marked a change in musical direction of the band and is the only album on the cover of which the brand logo of the group was not used.

Background

The work on the recording of this album came at a time when almost all members of the group were struggling with personal problems. In addition, the music producer Mutt Lange was not involved for the first time since 1981 at the making of the album, which gave room for sound and especially textual experiments the group.
