Slano

Slano is a small town in the Dubrovnik-Neretva county in southern Croatia. Slano is located about 30 kilometers northwest of Dubrovnik. On the bay of Slano lie the villages of Banja, Slano and Grgurići, because the bay Jánska concludes with Banići and Krucica to.

Slano was already inhabited in ancient times. On the Gradina hill there is a Roman castrum. Slano was purchased in 1399 by the Republic of Dubrovnik.

The still standing Franciscan church was built in the 16th century. Parts of Slano are still destroyed by the Croatian- Serbian war, but will be under reconstruction. The hotel is located in the center of the village Admiral was rebuilt in considerably enlarged form and reopened in August 2008.
