Slanské Hills (formerly also Prešovské Mountains; German Prešov / Sovarer Mountains, Hungarian Szalánci - hegység ) is a mountain range in eastern Slovakia and takes its name from the nearby town in the southern part Slanec.

The approximately 50 km long and 16 km wide area extending southeast of the town of Prešov between the Košice Basin ( Košická kotlina ) and the East Slovakian lowlands in north-south direction and is flanked by the rivers Topľa and Olsava / Torysa. The mountain range is 800-1000 meters high on average ( highest elevation Šimonka with 1092 meters ), wooded, has some mineral springs and various mineral resources such as gold, silver, antimony, or the famous opals of Dubník.

Some passes through the mountains are, for example, the Herľany Pass and the Dargovpass.
