SÅ‚awomir Majak

Sławomir Majak ( born January 12, 1969 in Gidle ) is a former Polish football player.

In Germany he played for Hannover 96 ( 1996), and Hansa Rostock ( 1997-2001). In 108 Bundesliga matches, the striker scored 15 goals, including scoring the winning goal in the 3-2 victory of FC Hansa Rostock at VfL Bochum on 29 May 1999, which gave the Rostockers relegation in the last second. From 2001 to 2003 he played in Cyprus with Anorthosis Famagusta. After he was loaned to second-rate club MKS Piotrcovia Piotrków in 2003, Majak returned 2004 final in his native Poland back. He played one more season for his hometown club RKS Radomsko which he meanwhile also oversaw six games as a player-coach.

After relegation to the third division Majak 2005 took over the post of head coach. In October of the same year, he moved on to Concordia but already Piotrków.

From 1995 to 2001 Majak graduated 22 A- international matches for the Polish national team.

In 1997, the national team was named Footballer of the Year in Poland.
