Slim Thug

Slim Thug ( born September 8, 1980 in Houston, Texas; actually Stayve Jerome Thomas ) is an American rapper from Houston, Texas. He became known for his participation in the hit single " Still Tippin ' by Mike Jones.

Career

Slim Thug began his career in the late 1990s with the label Swishahouse. Although he frequently collaborates with rappers of the label Swishahouse, Slim Thug is even today no longer a member of the label. He stands at Geffen Records about the " Neptunes " label Star Trak Entertainment under contract. He has also been his own independent label Boss Hogg Outlawz.

His debut album "Already Platinum " was released on 12 July 2005. This contains the singles " Like a Boss ", "Three Kings ", " I Is not Heard of That " and "Incredible Feeling". His album was at # 2 in the U.S. Billboard 200 album charts. Slim Thug calls himself the "Big Boss of the South " ( The big boss of the south of the U.S.) and the "Big Boss of the North " ( The big boss of the north of Houston, Texas - the area where he grew up ).

In the year 2005 he had features on the singles " Luxurious " by Gwen Stefani in "Check on It " by Beyonce and " All Eyes on Me" by LeToya Luckett. He also already worked with rappers like 50 Cent, Jay -Z and Scarface. Jay -Z had a feature on his single " I Is not Heard of That Remix".

He won an award at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2006 for Best R & B Video with Beyoncé for "Check on It ".
