Slobodan Samardžić

Slobodan Samardzic ( Serbian Cyrillic Слободан Самарџић ) ( born 1953 in Belgrade, Serbia, Yugoslavia) is a Serbian politician and former Minister for Kosovo.

His parents came from Serbian families Bosnia - Herzegovina and Montenegro.

Slobodan Samardzic studied political science and philosophy at the University of Belgrade, but also in Frankfurt, Göttingen, Fribourg and Brussels and worked from 1982-84 at Radio Belgrade. He was Professor of European Studies at the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Belgrade in 2001. His research focuses on federalism and constitutionalism.

Samardzic speaks both English and German. He has two sons and a daughter.

Slobodan Samardzic is a member of, founded by Vojislav Kostunica 's Democratic Party of Serbia and in 1992 was associated with his government from May 2007 to July 2008 Minister for Kosovo. As such, he participated in the Viennese troika negotiations on the future of Kosovo and presented a six - point plan for the " functional " division of Kosovo between Albanians and Serbs.
