Слободзея ( Slobodzeya ) ( in Russian)

Slobozia (Russian Слободзея / Slobodzeya ) is a city on the Dniester River in the southern Transnistria. It is the administrative capital of the same named Rajons and has about 17,780 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2005), which mainly consist of Moldovans and Russians.

The village was first mentioned end of the 17th century and has since 2002 official city status.
