Slonim district
Rajon Slonim ( Belarusian Слонімскі раён; Russian Слонимский район ) is an administrative unit in the south of Hrodsenskaja Woblasz in Belarus with the administrative center in the town of Slonim. The Rajon has an area of 1,500 km ², comprises 148 villages and is divided into 12 Selsawets.
Geography
The Rajon Slonim located in the southeast of the Hrodsenskaja Woblasz. The Nachbarrajone in Hrodsenskaja Woblasz are in the north and in the west Dsjatlawa Selwa.
History
The Rajon Slonim was formed on 15 January 1940 as an administrative unit of the former Baranawizkaja Woblasz.
