Sloupno (Hradec Králové District)

Sloupno is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located two kilometers north of Nový Bydžov and belongs to Okres Hradec Králové.

Geography

Sloupno is located on the right side of the Cidlina to their sidearm Mlýnská Cidlina on the East Bohemian panel. West of the town leads past the railway line Velky Osek - Trutnov, nearest railway stations are Nový Bydžov and Skřivany.

Neighboring towns are Skřivany in the north, and Podoliby Chmelovice in the northeast, Králíky in the east, in the southeast Prasek, Metličany and Nový Bydžov in the south, Stara Skřeněř the southwest, Stary Bydžov in the west and Křičov and Ovčín in the northwest.

History

The first mention of Sloupno place in the year 1278th By the end of the 15th century the feasts of the manor of Vladikengeschlechter Kordul, Hernýk, Heřmanský and Sádovský of Sloupno served. Between 1980 and 1990 Sloupno was incorporated to Nový Bydžov.
