Slovakia Fed Cup team

The Slovak Fed Cup team is the national team of Tennis Slovakia, which is used in the Fed Cup. The Fed Cup (until 1995 Federation Cup ) is the most important competition for national teams in women's tennis, similar to the Davis Cup for the men.

History

Czechoslovakia has won the title five times, but these are attributed to the Czech Republic, which is of course unfair. Radomira Zrubáková won in 1988 at the finals the first point. For the first time took part in the Slokakei 1992 Fed Cup. The best result was the title in 2002. On 2 and 3 November 2002 in Maspalomas defeated Daniela Hantuchova Magüi Serna 6-2, 6-1 and Conchita Martínez 6-7 ( 8), 7:4, 6:4. The third point has brought against Arantxa Sánchez Vicario 6-0, 6-2 Janette Husárová.
