Slovenská pošta

Slovenská pošta, as ( German: Slovak Post AG ) is the national postal company in Slovakia, based in Banská Bystrica. It operates 1566 post offices across the country. It is the third largest employer in Slovakia.

History

The Slovak Post Office was on 1 January 1993 by the division of state-owned enterprise Správa Post A Telekomunikacii ( Postal and Telecommunications Administration ) in the three state-owned Slovenská pošta [ Slovak Post ] Slovenské telekomunikácie (now Slovak Telekom ) and Poštová novinová služba, š.p. [ Post Newspaper Service] (later Prvá novinová spoločnosť, as, disintegrated) was founded.
