Sly and Robbie

Sly & Robbie are a Jamaican musician and producer duo consisting of drummer Sly Dunbar and bassist and keyboardist Robert Shakespeare. The duo is especially known for its reggae and dub productions and significantly influenced the reggae rhythms of the 1970s and 1980s. Sly & Robbie were for years the rhythm section of the Jamaican reggae band Black Uhuru. Furthermore, you were involved in albums by Peter Tosh, Gregory Isaacs, Culture and many other reggae artists. They were also known under the name The Riddim Twins.

After they had already won in 1985 with Black Uhuru Anthem for the first ever conferred Reggae Grammy, they won in 1999 as a duo with the album Friends another Grammy for Best Reggae Album.
