Smike

Smike is a pop musical adaptation of Charles Dickens ' Nicholas Nickleby, which has already been broadcast on BBC television. The star of the BBC production was Beryl Reid as Mrs Squeers. Next played with Andrew Keir as Mr Squeers, Leonard Whiting as Nicholas, and Ian Sharrock as Smike.

The musical was originally in 1973 on the London Kingston Grammar School by two teachers, Simon May ( who later became a successful composer for television programs was ) and Clive Barnett devised. Third employee was Roger Holman. The highly popular in Britain musical has now produced more than once. In December 2005, the play was produced again in the Kingston Grammar School. Since 2007 there is a German translation of Roman Hinze, which was played a few times now.
