Snagov

Snagov is a town with about 7,000 inhabitants located about 40 km north of the Romanian capital Bucharest in Ilfov County. It lies on the shore of the lake.

The most famous sight is a small church of the 16th century, picturesquely situated on an island in the lake. According to legend, Vlad Tepes is buried in this church are under an unadorned white stone plate in front of the chancel. However, in an opening of the tomb in 1931 to have been found empty this.
